Alba C. Palermo

Alba C. Palermo, 88, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on December 3, 2022, surrounded by her family.

She was born November 22, 1934, in the Calabrian region of Italy, to Giuseppe and Luisa Tassone.

She was a lover of life and wholeheartedly believed in the goodness of others. 

Survivors include her children, Mary Comer of Ormond Beach, Amy Smithley of Keller, Texas, Frank Palermo of Ormond Beach and Emily Rodgerson of Colorado, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, Her sister, Mary Maiolo of Kahului, HI and her Brother, Frank Tassone of Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8th, 2022, from 2pm-4pm at Allen Summerhill Funeral Home in Deland, FL. 

Mass of the Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, December 9th, 2022, at 9:30am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Deland, FL. 

Entombment will follow at Deland Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the care of Allen Summerhill Funeral Home Deland, FL. 

Condolences for the family may be shared on their website. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name will be accepted towards the American Heart Association.
