Alice Marie Bernai

Alice Marie Bernai, 82 of Deltona passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 15, 2019.
She was born December 14, 1936 in Jersey City, New Jersey, eldest daughter of late Elizabeth and Frank Lochli. She grew up in Perth Amboy, New Jersey with her three sisters. Surviving Kathleen Lochli, Betty Ann Lochli, and predeceased by Frances Lochli Mosier. Alice graduated from Perth Amboy High in 1954, and later married Frank Jova Sr. in 1957. They lived in Woodbridge, New Jersey and had three children together. They were married for 14 years before her late husband passed away in 1972. Her surviving loved ones include her husband George Bernai of 33 years, children Robert Jova, Susan Jova, Frank Jova Jr., daughter-in-law Adrianna Kasiak Jova, grandchildren Amanda Jasiulewicz, Angelina Jova, and Alexander Jova. Alice was loved by so many and always became the life of the party wherever she went. Her laughter was contagious and if music was playing, Alice would soon be up dancing and singing along. She was such an amazing and strong person who cared so much for others especially her family. She will be greatly missed, and memories of her will live in all of our hearts forever. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 19th at 6pm at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand, with a visitation from 4-6pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice.
