Anna Dean Clark, affectionately known as “Gram,” passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in DeLand, Florida, at the age of 87. She was born on July 26, 1938, in Waycross, Georgia, to Edward Crawley and Etha King.
On June 23, 1956, Anna married the love of her life, Edward G. Clark, with whom she shared many wonderful years until his passing. Together, they raised two daughters, Beth (Phillip) Bartholomew and Donna (Frank) Palmieri, who were the joy of her life.
Anna’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Amy (Paul) Baldridge, Chris Bartholomew, and Diana (Thomas) Buonocore; her great-grandchildren, Samantha (Noah) Thornton, Madison Griffin, Bryce Griffin, Brett Griffin, Trenton Rickels, Wesley Rickels, Anna Rickels, Ella Rickels, and Jack Buonocore; and her great-great-grandson, Kit Thornton. She also leaves behind her brothers Harold (Cheryl) King and Wayne (Shirley) King, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jerald King and Larry King.
Anna worked for several years at Tropical Blossom Honey Company in Edgewater, FL before beginning her career in the school system, where she served in the cafeteria until her retirement. She was a steady and loving presence in the lives of those around her, known for her quiet nature, kind spirit, and devotion to her family.
She enjoyed camping and traveling with her loved ones, solving crossword and word-find puzzles, quilting, and tending to her garden with her “green thumb.” A talented cook and cake baker, Anna’s kitchen was often the heart of family gatherings. Most of all, she treasured her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, finding joy in the laughter and closeness of family.
Anna will be remembered as a selfless, gentle soul who brought comfort and love to all who knew her. Her legacy of devotion, warmth, and family values will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and generations to come.
