Bernard “Bernie” Coleman born on January 26, 1947, in Pensacola, Florida, began his Eternal journey on January 22, 2025 at his home in Deleon Springs, Florida.
On January 26, 1947, Bernie was born the son of Bernice (Macks) and Fred C. Coleman. He was one of five children.
Bernie as he was known, was proceeded in death by his parents, Fred and Bernice Coleman, son Tony Coleman, sisters Evelyn, Dorothy, Frankie and grandson Ty Rowell.
Bernie lived in various places but the largest portion of his life was lived here in Deland.
Bernie worked thirteen years for the City of Deland. He was an Automobile Mechanic by trade. He owned his own company, Bernie’s Towing Company for several years where he performed many tasks for the community.
Bernie was passionate about Nascar. He also liked to go fishing, work on cars, attend auctions, he enjoyed going to church with his wife before his illness became too consuming, and he really enjoyed his wife’s homemade enchiladas!
Bernie leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Marion Elizabeth Coleman, son Micheal A. Coleman, daughter Patricia Coleman, son Timothy Coleman, grandsons Anthony and Brayden Rowell, brother Vernie Coleman (Ernestine) and many, many more family members and friends. He will be missed by all those who loved him.
