Bert Lee Castile, 77 of Orange City passed away October 17, 2024 at the Stuart Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast. He was born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on October 4, 1947. Bert worked for Deltona city in several departments for many years parks and recreational being one of them. He was a well loved man by his neighbor’s, friends, and of course family. He would do anything for you and take his shirt off his back for you. While he was a young boy, he was taken out of school, which was back in the day to help run the farm where he lived. That’s where he had his most memories from. He loved going on weekend motorcycle rides with his wife or his friends. He also loved going to antique car shows with his wife, as he owned a 66 Ford falcon himself. Every year he would take his wife to Pennsylvania for a nice drive to visit friends for a few weeks. They really enjoyed traveling. Their favorite trip was to visit his brother Bruce and Bruce‘s wife Colleen in California where they left from there to go to Hawaii. He also liked going golfing with his friends, but he mostly like to be around family. He was predeceased by his wife of 37 years Pearl, who passed 9 days before him. Survivors include his children Angela McCaferty and her husband Fred Suriano; siblings Bruce, Jackie, Jessie, Terry, John, Patricia, George, Pete, William, Charles and Anne and also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles, nieces and nephews.
