Bobby Joe Bray, resident of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on March 23, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones, at the age of 86. He was born in Harlan County, Kentucky, to parents Hazel Adam Bray and Mary Anna Bray.
Bobby pursued his education at the University of Cincinnati, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. He went on to build a dedicated career as a Revenue Recovery Supervisor for Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co. A proud United States Air Force veteran, Bobby continued to serve his community as a Past Commander of the Daytona Beach Sail and Power Squadron in his later years.
Known for his great sense of humor and his love for being surrounded by family, Bobby’s greatest devotion was to his wife, Jeanette. The two married on August 8, 1964, and from the day they met, he remained tender, loyal, and deeply devoted to her.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanette Bray; daughter Michelle Jantzen (Brian); son Michael Bray (Sally); two grandchildren Chris Jantzen (Alexis) and Casey Jantzen; and his beloved Schnauzer, Reilly.
In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held, and his ashes will be scattered at sea.
