Bobby Ray Collins, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, in Daytona Beach, Florida surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 21, 1940, in Lyons, Georgia. Bobby was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who loved making people happy through his art of cabinetry. Bobby found his passion for woodwork back in 1971 when he opened Collins Cabinet Shop and has been well known in the Deland area for over 53 years. Bobby enjoyed watching his great granddaughter play soccer and softball throughout the years, he supported our local Stetson Hatters Women’s Softball Team with being a season ticket holder and loved attending family reunions each year. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Collins of 66 years, daughter Cheryl (Collins) Lewis and her husband Lonnie Lewis, grandson James Collins and his wife Yvonne (Greiner) Collins, great granddaughter Alyssa Collins, sister Donnell Cartrett, nephew Edward Johnson, niece Hazel Johnson, and many more nieces and nephews. Bobby is predeceased by his mother Annie Bell Collins, father Robert Collins, his four brothers Ottis, Leroy (Smoky), Kenneth (Blackie), and James (Midget) and one sister Iris Collins. Flowers and gifts are not necessary. Instead, please keep the family in your thoughts.
