Ceceli Kyle Emerson, 75, of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on July 15, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on February 2, 1950, in Washington, D.C., Ceceli was the cherished daughter of the late Marvin Roscoe Emerson and Marjorie Cornell Emerson. In April 2023, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, a battle she faced with quiet strength and grace.
Ceceli dedicated her life to service, working for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 46 years. She began her career as a switchboard operator, a position she held for 18 years before transitioning into a medical clerk role. Her devotion to her work and to the veterans she served was a testament to her compassionate spirit and selfless nature.
Ceceli will be remembered by all who knew her as a kind and gentle soul, someone who found purpose in helping others and who touched countless lives with her warmth and sincerity.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Elissa Emerson; her niece, Maria Bianciardi (Grace); her great-niece and great-nephew; her dear cousin, Marda Rushing (Doc); and many other loving friends and extended family members.
Ceceli's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
