Christopher Brian Burnup passed early Monday morning 10/28/2024 of natural causes at his home in Deleon Springs Florida. Chris was proceeded in death by his father, Alfred Burnup. Chris is survived by his mother Lorraine, former wife, Martha, daughters Tabatha, Brianna and Savanna. His wife April and son Donovan. His older brother Paul, younger sister Karen, and younger brother Alfred, and granddaughter Sophie. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who he loved and cherished dearly. Also included as family would be his very close and dear friends who all held a truly special place in his heart. Chris was born on December 6th 1971 in Long Island, New York. He graduated from H Frank Carey high school in Franklin Square New York in 1990 and upon moving to Florida with his family in 1995, completed various college classes as well as vocational school. Chris spent the last 22 years working for Gentry oil as a truck driver. Chris was loyal, dedicated and most of all reliable. He served his community during times of disaster by delivering fuel to those in need. Gentry Oil feels fortunate to have had Chris as a member of their family, as a friend, and employee for 22 years and he will forever be missed! Chris spent his free time fishing and being outdoors. He also enjoyed wood working and working with his hands. He loved traveling and spending his time with friends and family. He had a passion for drawing and always enjoyed listening to music. Chris had a wonderful sense of humor and would always try and lighten the mood with a joke. His presence will be truly missed. A celebration of life will be held Sunday 11/03/2024 at the American legion located at 1087 Biscayne Blvd Deland, FL 32724 from 1pm-5pm. Business casual with bright colors is requested.
