Constance "Connie" (Corbo) Dattoma, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Connie was born on July 28, 1933, in Astoria, New York, to Carmione Corbo and Jean Corbo.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” (Psalm 116:15)

A woman of faith, Connie trusted in Jesus throughout her life and looked forward to the day she would be reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph "Joe" Dattoma, a New York City firefighter, as well as her children, Theresa and Dominick, who preceded her in death.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that God, in His mercy, called Connie home peacefully while she slept, with her loved ones by her side. The family is especially grateful for the compassionate care provided by AdventHealth Hospice.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Jean Brissey (Jim); son-in-law, Scott Groth (Deb); grandchildren, Jennifer Evans, Connie Mueller (Steve), James Brissey III (Melissa), and Christine McDermott; great-grandchildren, Elicia Owens (Alex), Madison Williams (Jarique), McKenzie Wood, Dominick McDermott, Brooke Evans, Haley Evans, Jacob Evans, Gina Southerland (Cody), James Brissey IV (Sydney), and Nikki McDermott; and great-great-grandchildren, Everly Owens, Abigail Owens, and Liliana Southerland, who will cherish her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held on what would have been Connie's 93rd birthday, July 28, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Higher Ground Ministries, 820 North Frankfort Avenue, DeLand, Florida 32724.

The family sincerely thanks everyone for their outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this time. While she will be deeply missed, they rejoice in knowing that Connie is now walking the streets of gold and reunited with her family and the saints of old.
