Edward DuRose Obituary

Edward S. DuRose, 78 of DeLand passed away October 28, 2017 at Florida Hospital DeLand. He was born in Port Henry, NY on July 4, 1939 and served in the US Navy. Edward was a US Postman and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was a life member of VFW Post 2380, life member of the Military Order of the Cootie, life member of the Orange City Lions Club, member of Knight of Columbus Council 6274 and Loyal Order of the Moose 1126. He is survived by his son Edward S. DuRose, Jr of Clay City, KY; daughter Mary A. Cross-Lindsey of DeLand; brother Michael Wasuck of Loretto, TN; sister Kim E. Schmidt of Poughkeepsie, NY; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 2nd at 11am at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.allensummerhill.com. Allen-Summerhill DeLand is in charge.
