Edward Macchia, 72, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Advent Health Hospital Deland FL. He was born on September 26, 1951, in Norwalk Connecticut. He was a member of DeLand Open Bible Church. He was Veteran of the United States Airforce. Edward enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking. Edward was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Viola Macchia of Liberty NY, brother Charles Macchia St Charles, MO, brother-in-law Ronald Napoli of MO and his nephew Jonathan Harry Gordon of Liberty, NY. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Debra, sons David Macchia of Albuquerque, NM and Gary Nestel of Los Angeles, CA daughters Amy Macchia of Albuquerque, NM and Gina (Stephen) Smith of Boston MA, Grandsons Kane Nestel Deltona, FL, Gino Bendler Deltona, FL and Ryan Smith of Boston, MA, sisters Star (Jim) Gordon of Liberty, NY and Francine Napoli St Louis, MO. Nieces Stacey Macchia, Julie ( Matthew) Behrens, and Jessica Napoli of St Louis, MO, nephew Jamie Gordon of Liberty, NY and Dean Macchia of WY. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 8, 2024, at 2:00pm at Open Bible Church 2179 N. Spring Garden Avenue, DeLand, FL with interment Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 9:30am Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL.
