Florence Vera Sekunna

Florence Vera Sekunna (Flo), maiden name Wickham, 83 years old of DeLand, Florida, went to be with her Lord on August 15, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 6, 1940. Flo was an Orlando Sentinel carrier for 45 years and also traveled the country selling books and gems at gem shows. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She was a great cook and enjoyed collecting cookbooks. Flo mostly loved spending time with her family. She and her husband Ernest raised 7 children. She was predeceased by her parents Sydney and Veronica Wickham, husband Ernest Myrick Sekunna, sister Joyce Fitzpatrick and son Matthew Sekunna. She is survived by children Alfred Sekunna, Deborah Cummins, Suzanna Alderman, Mark Sekunna, Tina Barnes and Rick Sekunna; sister Phyllis Harris; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held  Saturday, September 14th at 2pm at the DeLand Campus, Deltona Alliance Church, 402 West New York Ave. DeLand, FL, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the A.B. Simpson Alliance Missionary Fund.
