Gail Ethel (Tinkham) Ford

Gail Ethel (Tinkham) Ford, age 66, of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on May 30, 1960, Gail dedicated her life to caring for others. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 43 years and served the families of West Volusia Pediatrics in DeLand for 35 years.

Gail enjoyed traveling throughout the New England area, camping with her family, crafting, cooking, and admiring classic cars. She and her father were often referred to as true to their name, "Tinkham," as they were both natural tinkerers who could work on just about anything they put their minds to.

Gail is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Joseph Ford; her daughter, Autumn Ford; close cousins throughout the New England area; and extended family and friends throughout DeLand.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Tinkham, and her stepmother, Marge Moran, with whom she is now reunited.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home, 126 E. New York Avenue, DeLand, Florida 32724.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at LifePoint Community Church, 1747 W. New York Avenue, DeLand, Florida 32720. A reception will follow the service.

Gail will be remembered for her caring heart, dedication to her family and patients, and the many lives she touched throughout her years of service.
