Gary Dover Obituary

Gary Dover, 71 of Deltona passed away January 19, 2026 at the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler care center. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on November 13, 1954 to Garlyn and Virginia Bickford Dover. Gary served his country with honor and distinction for 20 years (1972-1992) in the United States Air Force, serving in the Gulf War, retiring as a master sergeant and disabled veteran. After the military, he was a project manager for Carter Electric and AA Computer Engineering. Gary enjoyed camping, motorcycles, guns, bike riding, kayaking and hiking. He loved to laugh, and he loved the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father and friend. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Janet; son Gary Dover (Chasity) and his children Saffire, Skylyn, Bladen and Gage; son David Dover (Jennifer) and his children Kristina and Brooke and grandchild Rose; daughter Heather Mulder (Dennis) and her child Niko. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 23rd from 4-6pm at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home DeLand. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 10am at The Journey in Orange City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank.
