Gladys Elvina Boettinger (nee Logan) 99 years old of Deland Fl. Left her Family and Friends to be with the Lord on September 18th 2024. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. In her Grandmothers front room bedroom in 1925 to George Washington Logan and wife Gladys Meade Logan (nee Hoffman). Elvina was preceded in death by husband Charles Frederick Boettinger, Sr. and brothers George W. Logan and Hugh Logan. Elvina is survived by sister Carol Logan Thomas: son Charles Frederick Boettinger, Jr. and wife Sharee: son Richard George Boettinger, Jr. and wife Alma Lee: daughter Susan Staedtler: daughter Cathy Courtney: and son Joseph Hugh Boettinger, and wife Ruth: Elvina was the overwhelmingly proud Grandmother of 11, Great Grandmother of 41, and Great-Great Grandmother of 4 children. She prayed for every night for her entire Family. Then sang Praises to the Lord. Elvina loved the Lord and Life. She enjoyed reading her bible, crocheting, crafting, crossword puzzles, find a word, jig saw puzzles, gardening and card games. Her soft and gooey heart also loved to bake, and her legendary lemon merengue pies were always the hit of every family gathering. Elvina was a longtime member of the Methodist Church. Volunteered at Nazareth Hospital (Philadelphia Pa), Fish Memorial (Orange City), Meals on Wheels and Quilting Clubs.
