Jack Marlin Pugh

Jack Marlin Pugh, 95, of DeLand, Florida, passed away on June 24, 2026. He was born on January 2, 1931, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Raymond Vaughn Pugh and Concepcion Concepcion. He was the oldest of seven children.

Jack proudly served in the National Guard and was among the first individuals in Puerto Rico to study automatic vehicle technology. A natural problem solver, he taught himself how to repair and maintain vehicles, eventually becoming a skilled technician. Prior to that, he worked as an electronics technician and installed amateur radios, known as KP-4 radios. He was also a talented woodworker whose skill and craftsmanship were admired by family and friends.

In 1951, Jack married the love of his life, Aida Maria Salles. They shared 37 years of marriage and raised three children together before Aida's passing in 1988. Jack remained devoted to her memory and never remarried.

Jack loved being on the water and enjoyed taking his children out on his boat to spend time together at sea. Known for his sense of humor, he was always ready with a joke and enjoyed making others laugh.

He is survived by his daughter, Johannes Pugh; his son, Stephen Pugh; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 37 years, Aida Maria Pugh; and his son, Raymond Pugh. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with them and is finally at peace.
