Janet B. (Bass) Gamble

Janet B. Gamble, 87 passed away on April 17, 2023. She was born August 31, 1935 in Manatee, Florida and she was a resident of Holly Hill but a long-time resident of Seville, FL. Janet was a dedicated home maker, talented cake decorator and seamstress. Janet was a member of Word of Faith Bible Church in Crescent City and was a devoted Christian and was also an example to her family and all who knew her. She lovingly cared for all of her grandchildren in addition to many children in the community. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Gamble, her father, Jack M. Bass, Jr. her mother, Abbie Transue Bass Ford and her siblings Lois Hiscock, Patsy Beuke, and Clifford Bass. She is survived by her three children, Donya Gamble Cummings (Chuck) of Maggie Valley, NC, Terry Gamble of Bunnell, FL and Staci Gamble Lewis (Raymond) of Pierson, FL; her twin sister Jenetha Sammartano; her brother, Kenneth Bass and her grandchildren, Ronald Gamble, Tenille Coleman, Courtney Carlisle, Chelsea McCoy, Tanner Lewis, Tucker Lewis and Tinley Lewis. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 21st from 6-8pm at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at 10am at First Baptist Church of Seville, with burial following at Seville Cemetery.
