Jenny L. Sollars

Jenny L. Sollars, 93 of Pierson passed away January 8, 2024 at AdventHealth DeLand. She was born in Pierson on April 26, 1930 and was a lifetime resident of West Volusia County. Jenny worked for Sherwood Medical and was a member of the Community Christian Assembly Church in Pierson. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was predeceased by her parents Don and Marianna (Kirby) Smith, son Larry Crosby, brothers Charles Ezekiel Smith, J.C. Smith, and Dewey Smith, sister Valerie Smith Cline and granddaughter Kara Crosby. Survivors include sons James Crosby and Shane Crosby; daughters Elaine Sensiper and Tammy Howard; brothers Jackie Smith, Jerry Smith and Johnny Smith; sister Judy Smith Whidden; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 15th at 11am, with visitation from 10-11am prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Pierson. There will be a reception following the burial at First Baptist Church of Pierson, 166 West 3rd Avenue, Pierson.
