John R. Borden, family man, business man, and pillar of the Deltona community has passed away on January 13th, at the age of 74. John, son of Stan and Shirley Borden was born and raised in Coldwater Michigan before building a business and life with his family in Deltona back in 1983. John was a bright light and stable pillar within the community. Not only was he a booster for Deltona Highschool, supporting in its founding, but also found himself volunteering in his free time at the local YMCA nearly every weekend for over a decade. Where many children knew him as "Coach John." But if you didn't know him as Coach, you may have known him as a business man. Well known for his dedication to the community and outgoing attitude, John ran his own business "Specialty Forms" for [30] years; where he delivered and assisted countless medical offices in providing equipment and in turn, care to their patients. Whether it be family, friends, acquaintances, or strangers; the world loved and appreciated the smile John always had on his face, and the smile we all had on ours while we were with him. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Borden, daughter Elisa Colon, grandson Marcus Colon, and sister Valerie Rayborn. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 1pm at his residence.
