John Mark Favreau

John Mark Favreau departed this life on June 1, 2025, born in Vermont to Paul and Leona (Bombard) Favreau January 14, 1953. John was a man defined by his profound devotion to his God, his unwavering love for his family, and his steadfast commitment to his country. Born of a generation that understood the true meaning of service, John proudly answered the call to duty, serving in the military with honor and distinction. His time in uniform shaped the man he became, instilling in him a discipline and patriotism that he carried throughout his life. John was also a man of great Christian faith, deeply devoted to serving his Lord and his church. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and providing him with immense strength and comfort. He found true joy in his spiritual walk, actively participating in his church community and living a life that reflected his profound belief in Christ.

A true outdoorsman, John had a deep and abiding love for nature. He spent countless hours enjoying the peace and thrill of the natural world, whether he was fishing on a quiet lake, hunting in the wilderness, or sailing on open waters. These were the moments where he truly felt at home, connecting with creation and finding solace in its beauty.

Beyond his military service, his deep faith, and his passion for the outdoors, John’s greatest joys were found within the embrace of his family.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Rebecca Favreau, who was his constant companion and cherished partner. He is also survived by his brother Paul and his loving wife Kathi, and his sister, Rose. He was a loving father to his son Kevin and his wife, Mindy, and their daughter Paige. His daughter, Hillary and her husband Brock, and their children Owen and Parker. John also embraced his stepson, Jason with open arms, and he will be dearly missed by Jason and his wife Jackie, and their three children Mikayla, Xavier, and Sebastian, who brought immense joy to his later years.

John’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, boundless love, and dedicated service. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his kind heart, and the profound impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
