Johnnie Will Langrick, age 94, of Deland FL, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. She was born on September 13, 1931 in Tattnall County, Georgia.
Johnnie was the daughter of a large, loving family and was one of five children—one brother and three sisters—all of whom preceded her in death. In July of 1950, she married the love of her life, Herman Langrick, and together they shared 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2012.
Johnnie and Herman built a beautiful life centered around love, faith, and family. They were blessed with three children: Steve Langrick and his wife Michelle Langrick, who survive her, and two daughters, Linda Sausville and Nancy Harper, who have preceded her in death. Johnnie’s greatest joy was her family, which grew to include five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She retired after 26 years of dedicated service with Sparton Electronics, where she was known for her hard work and commitment.
Johnnie was a woman who cherished life’s simple moments — fishing, walking her property, trying her luck at scratch-off tickets, and cheering on her favorite wrestlers were just some of the things that brought her joy. She also had a deep love for people and, together with Herman, was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting smells of her famous chicken and rice, chicken and dumplings, and of course, the legendary banana pudding that her family adored. Every meal she cooked carried the unmistakable flavor of love.
Johnnie’s presence brought warmth and kindness wherever she went. She will be remembered as a woman of strong faith, boundless compassion, and an open heart.
As we mourn her passing, we find comfort in the words of Matthew 11:28: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Johnnie Will Langrick’s life was full of love, laughter, and service, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
