Joyce Silverie (Muesing) Holcomb

Joyce Silverie Holcomb, 86 of DeLand, passed away on March 17, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Churubusco, Indiana on March 7, 1937 and moved to DeLand in 1985 from Tipton, Iowa. Joyce was a domestic engineer staying at home with her 3 children for many years. Then worked at Walmart for over 10 years in the fabrics department. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of DeLand and active with many of the ministries throughout the years. Joyce enjoyed riding her bike, Silver Sneakers at the YMCA, traveling and camping with her husband Keith, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, square dancing (she was a member of the Honey Bees square dance group). She is pre-deceased by Keith Holcomb, her husband of 54 years. Survived by sons Todd Holcomb and wife Carolyn Holcomb of Cedar Falls, IA and Tim Holcomb and wife Anne Marie Rose of North Palm Beach, FL; daughter Linda Korkie and husband John Korkie of Cedar Rapids, IA; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of DeLand Children's Fund, 115 East Howry Avenue, DeLand, FL 32724.
