Katharine Ann (Hanson) Richmond

Katharine Ann Richmond 82 of Pierson, FL. passed away on June 19, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Woonsocket, RI on March 9, 1942 and spent the early part of her life in Uxbridge, Ma., graduating from Uxbridge HS and David Hale Fanning School, receiving her Dietary Technician Diploma before she started her career, and Marrying! Kay loved her Dietary work and worked in several Hospitals and several long-term care facilities during her long 50-year career. Kay spent many years in West Palm Beach before moving to Pierson, FL. She was a member of the Pierson Methodist Church and American Dietetic Association and the Pierson Methodist church choir. Kay loved her Dietary work, exercising and Animals especially her cats and dogs. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph Richmond, Son Randy Richmond of Pierson, her Daughter Hope Ann Nordlund (William) of Stroudsburg, PA., and niece Tracy Hall of Uxbridge, MA and her beloved dog Benny. Kay was predeceased by her brother Bruce Brown and sister Judy Zacapoulos.

A celebration of Kay's life will be held at the Pierson Methodist Church at 136 West 2nd Avenue, Pierson, FL 32180 on Saturday July 13, 2024 at 11 AM with a reception to follow at the Fellowship Hall.
