Kenneth G. Naser, 77, peacefully passed away and went home to be with the Lord on March 8. Ken was born in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, on May 30, 1947 to Carolyn and George Naser. He graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School in 1965. From 1966-1970 he served in the Army. He enlisted on the Buddy Plan with 3 friends and was a Vietnam War Veteran. In 1972 he married Janelle Lang Naser and together they were blessed with 52 years of marriage. Ken and Janelle owned and operated Dottie’s Florist in DeLand for 40 years, 1973-2013. He is survived by wife, Janelle Naser, daughters, Genevieve Harper and Nicole Naser; “Adopted Daughter” Clara Brodil; Grandchildren Kaila Watson, Maia Campbell and Finley Naser-Munro, and a greatly anticipated Great Grandchild. Ken is also survived by his sister, Diane Simmons. Ken has been a member of Stetson Baptist Church since 1975, where he served as a Deacon, Royal Ambassador Leader and Sunday School teacher. He had a great love for history and artifacts. The family will receive friends at Stetson Baptist Church, 1025 W. Minnesota Avenue, DeLand, on Friday, March 14, with visitation at 10 a.m. and a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home, DeLand, is in charge of arrangements.
