Lawrence Anthony Cable

Lawrence "Larry" Anthony Cable, 82, of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on April 30, 2025. Born on November 4, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was the son of Lawrence Anthony Cable Sr. and Helen Gertrude Bahns Cable.

Larry immersed himself into music at a very early age and paid his own way through college by gigging at night clubs and supper clubs on the weekends. He expanded into bluegrass and played several festivals around the Minneapolis area. He played bass, guitar, dobro, and pedal steel. He loved to take his grandkids out on the boat in the summer or ice skating on the lake in the winter.  

Larry spent his professional career as a dedicated Data Base Administrator, working for United Health and Northwest Airlines. 

He is survived by his two sons, Tony Cable and Andrew Cable.
