Lawrence Ervin Rigdon

Lawrence Ervin Rigdon, aged 66, passed away on August 26, 2024, in Orange City, Florida. Born in DeLand, Florida, he spent much of his career serving the city of Ormond Beach, where he worked diligently for over 20 years.

Lawrence was a devoted outdoorsman, finding solace and joy in hunting and bass fishing.

He is survived by a loving circle of family and friends, including his brother Jesse Johnson (Carolyn), lifelong partner Betty Barr, step-daughter Debbie Barr, and niece Tina Marie Young. His life was also enriched by the companionship and enduring friendships with Gerald Collins, Joseph Robertson, Larry Ogle, Bill Wheeler, Bill Clark, Rachel Hall, and Melanie Bright, Steve Pyle, J.D., and Ricky Tucker who will all miss him dearly.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, John Rigdon, his mother, Jessie Dreggors Johnson, and his brother, Alex Johnson.

His legacy of kindness, dedication to his community, and love for the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew him.
