Surrounded by her family, Ligia Claudina Esquivel, 84, passed peacefully from her earthly home into her eternal home on November 13, 2025. Born in Jutiapa, Guatemala, on August 20, 1941, she faithfully served the Lord throughout her life.

Ligia was married to her beloved husband, Carlos M. Esquivel, for 51 years. Together they devoted their lives to ministry, and founded La Iglesia Bautista Betania in DeLand, Florida, where they served for 35 years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful servant of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ligia is lovingly remembered by her children Claudina & Dan, Walda & Timothy, and Carlos & Maro; her grandchildren Tomas, Danny & Ren, Nicholas & Jaden, Victoria, Isabella, Ava, Adrian, and Eli Manuel; her great-grandchildren Cora, Zella, and Daniel.

The family extends their deepest gratitude, first and foremost, to the Lord Jesus Christ for His love, His faithfulness, and for the precious life of our beloved mother, “Lita.”
