Lillian Eleanor Curiale, 94, affectionately known as “Diamond Lil”, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, in DeLand, Florida. Born on March 30, 1932, in Crown Point, Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of the late Alwin and Mary Schaedler.
Lillian was a woman who brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. She always had a joke to tell and never missed an opportunity to make someone smile. She enjoyed a vibrant social life and delighted in spending time with her many friends at the Moose Lodge, where her humor and lively spirit were always on full display. Her love for music was evident in her passion for playing the organ and singing karaoke — activities that brought immense happiness to both her and all who had the pleasure of listening. To know Diamond Lil was to know a life lived with warmth, wit, and song.
Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas; her parents, Alwin and Mary Schaedler; and her stepmother, Ada. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Selph, and son-in-law, Eddie; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
