Linda Ann (Underhill) Hendrix

Linda Ann Underhill Hendrix went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 12, 2024. She was born to Marion R. Underhill and Virginia Lamb Underhill on August 13, 1947, in DeLand, FL. Aptly named Linda, (for her name means beautiful) and Ann, in honor of her father's beloved sister Ann Underhill Bell, she was fair and beautiful.

Linda was a graduate of Taylor High School in Pierson, FL. After graduation she completed secretarial school which led her into her business career. She worked as a personal secretary, was employed with the Florida Highway Patrol, the Division of Forestry and as a secretary in a law firm.

She is survived by her son Brian C. Hendrix, daughter in law, Penny Hendrix and grandchildren, Braelyn, Kynzlee, and Courtney of Orange City, Florida.

Linda was preceded in death by her sister Constance Coleman Lagoni. She is survived by brother, William R. Underhill, II, sister Marva Underhill Widhalm, and brother Joseph M. Underhill and sister-in-law Sandra Underhill in addition to brothers-in-law, William A. Lagoni and Robert G. Widhalm, as well as many nieces and nephews. Her close friend and devoted companion, Claude McBride preceded her in death last year.

Rev. Doug Knight of First Baptist Church of DeLeon Springs and Rev. Jesse Roland of Abundant Life Fellowship will officiate the funeral service on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 am. The service will be held at First Baptist Church of DeLeon Springs, 4995 Central Avenue, DeLeon Springs, FL.
