Linda Sue (Hodges) Underhill

Linda Sue (Hodges) Underhill, age 75, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on May 24, 2025, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She was born on June 9, 1949, in DeLand, Florida, to Earl P. Hodges Sr. and Eloise Daughtrey.

A proud graduate of DeLand High School, Class of 1967, Linda was known for her love of reading, her kind and nurturing spirit, and her deep devotion to her family. She especially enjoyed caring for her beloved cat, Princess, and her faithful dog, Jackson. Time spent with her loved ones brought her the greatest joy.

Linda is survived by her son, William Raymond Underhill III “Ray” (Rachele); her grandchildren, Price Wheeler and Lance Wheeler; her sister, Shirley Whitaker; and several cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jill Wheeler, and her brother, Buddy Hodges.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 20th, from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Linda will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
