Lurline Card, 1932-2024
It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Lurline Card, age 91, of Orange City, Florida, on May 18, 2024, at Halifax Hospice in Orange City, Florida.
Lurline was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Card, who is also laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. She is survived by her devoted daughter Kelly Hohman, and her two adoring grandchildren, Nicholas C. Hohman (Dr. Larry Lassiter) and Lexis Hohman McCarthy (Dr. Patrick McCarthy). Lurline's legacy continues with her precious great-grandchild, Caroline Quinn McCarthy.
For the past 12 years, Lurline found a warm and welcoming home at John Knox Village of Central Florida, where she made many friends and shared countless smiles. Her kindness, wisdom, and love touched the lives of everyone around her.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Summerhill Funeral Home in Deland, Florida. Lurline will be laid to rest with dignity and honor beside her beloved husband, Robert, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
Lurline's life was a testament to love, strength, and resilience. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
