Obituary
On March 15, 2023, Mary Elizabeth Threatt, “hit the road again” and passed away peacefully at Halifax Health Hospice in Orange City, surrounded by family. She was 88 years old.
Born in Lyons, Georgia on January 2, 1935, she grew up in Georgia, but spent most of her life in Deland, FL. She was a strong woman with much love and tenacity for life. Her greatest pastimes included finding the best spots for winning lottery tickets, stitching handmade pillows for loved ones and traveling to visit with family.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, James Elbert, and by her son Bennie. She is survived by her daughter Mary, 2 sisters, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
