Mildred Elizabeth Cline

Mildred Elizabeth Cline was born May 3, 1927. She was the oldest of the twelve children of Sidney and Merrill North.

In December of 1945 she married Martin (Dick) Cline and was married for 34 years until his death in 1980. She said there would never be anyone else and there never was.

After she was married, she never worked. Dick didn't want her to. He told her, “You take care of the house and take care of the kids, I'll be the breadwinner.”

They were blessed with four children, Patty Danny Ricky and Kay, whom they raised up in church. She was preceded in death by Danny, Patty and Ricky.

She is survived by daughter, Kay Baarsma; five grandsons, Marty Mahaffey, Jody Steadman, Joshua Steadman, Jeremy Steadman and Mark Cline. Also surviving are ten great and two great-great grandchildren and brother Jerry North, whom she delivered and always told him, “I was the first to spank your butt, and I'll do it again if you need it.”

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 5th at 11am at First Baptist Church of Pierson, with visitation from 10:30-11am. Interment will follow at Pierson United Methodist Cemetery.
