Randolph Kiser Jr. Obituary

Randolph (randy) Lee Kiser, Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend to many passed away Sunday, March 29th.

He was born in Miami, Florida, January 23, 1938. He attended grade school in Jacksonville, FL, and moved back to Miami while attending the University of Florida. He was a proud graduate of UF, where he received a degree in Pharmacy. While attending UF, he represented the School of Pharmacy on the Honor Court. After graduation, he began a long and meaningful career as a retail and hospital pharmacist and pharmacy director, in addition to a stint as a pharmaceutical sales representative. Through his work, he cared for countless individuals, always offering kindness, wisdom, and a reassuring presence.

Randy shared nearly 65 wonderful years of marriage with his wife Rita. Together, they built a life centered on love, faith, and family – a partnership that stood as a lasting example of commitment and devotion to all who knew him.

Faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was deeply involved in his church community, serving faithfully as a deacon, Stephen Minister, and Sunday School teacher. He had a warm heart for people and a gift for listening, encouraging, and guiding others through both joyful and difficult times.

Randy found great joy in God's creation and loved spending time outdoors. He especially cherished his travels to Utah, where he could explore the wide open spaces.

Above all, he loved his family. His four grandchildren were one of his greatest joys. By his words and example, his grandchildren learned may ways to handle life's challenges. He is survived by his wife Rita, Son Randy (Mendy) and daughter Renee (Gery) Sowinski, grandchildren Andrew (Dana) Huntsberry, Randolph Kiser IV, Lauren (Gabe) Hughes, Madison Kiser, and great-grandson August, his sister Carol (David) Petty, nieces Elizabeth Bell, Susan (Kent) Needler, nephews Charles (Sara) Vernon and Michael Yarbrough. He was preceded in death by his parents Randolph and Eleanor Kiser and his son Robert Kiser.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, April 11th, at New Covenant Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please give a gift to New Covenant Baptist.

Randy will always be remembered for his wit, sense of humor, love for the Florida Gators, adventurous spirit, and love he so freely gave to everyone around him.
