Rebecca M Negron

Rebecca M. Negron of Deland, FL passed away on January 5, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.

Rebecca was born on August 24, 1942 in San German, Puerto Rico.  Fathered by Humberto Gregory & raised by Providencia Santana. She had 9 siblings; she preceded 5 and survived by 4. Rebecca also had 4 Daughters, Sylvia Albino, Diana Diaz, Lillian Perez and Carolyn Rivera. Her greatest treasures were all her grandchildren, too many to mention by name. She has 7 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Rebecca was a member of City Sanctuary for over 23 years. Rebecca loved the Lord and had a heart for helping the less fortunate.  Her volunteer work at the food pantry at City Sanctuary gave her so much joy. Her favorite things to do at home was crocheting blankets for each of her grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.  She also loved to cook for her family and friends, and found joy in watching their faces as they ate her home cooked meals.  She also walked around with a big smile and always had a comeback to anything they would tell her.  Her sassy personality will forever be missed.

Rebecca’s Celebration of Life will be held on January 24th at 11 am at City Sanctuary 401 E. Taylor Road Deland, FL  32724.In lieu of flowers Rebecca wanted to have everyone bring canned foods to be given to the food pantry at City Sanctuary where she loved to spend her Thursday mornings. After the service we will be gathering at Orange Tree Village 880 Navel Orange Drive, Orange City, FL  32763 to have refreshment and continue to reminisce about Rebecca. 

The family extends their gratitude to VITAS for helping take great care of Mom at home, we would also like to thank Pastor Schrade and Pastor Manny for the many visits to Mom to share the love of Christ on her last days.  Lastly we would like to thank everyone who came to sit by her side and give her love, especially her little brother Milton who never left her side since day one!
