Ronald Henry Romines, age 75, of DeLand, Florida, passed away on May 31, 2026. He was born on June 20, 1950, in Daytona Beach, Florida, to the late B.H. "Butch" Romines and Anna Lee Bell Romines.

A lifelong resident of the area, Ronald graduated from DeLand High School in 1968. He worked as a meat cutter/manager for many years at numerous local grocery stores throughout his career, earning the nickname "Hammer" among coworkers.

Ronald was a devoted family man who loved being a husband, father, and Papa. His greatest pride was his family, especially watching his son grow into the man he became and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family will forever cherish his infectious laugh and the way he always seemed to have a story for every occasion.
A die-hard Florida Gators fan, Ronald enjoyed sport fishing, golfing, and shooting pool. One of his favorite accomplishments was catching a 67-pound dolphin the day after the Greater Daytona Striker Fishing Tournament at Ponce Inlet in 1992 aboard the boat Downtime. He often joked that if he had caught it just one day earlier, he would have won the tournament.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Romines, with whom he shared nearly 57 years together and 53 years of marriage; his son, Benjamin (Peggy) Romines; grandchildren, Joshua (Brianna) Rockwood, Bailey (Amber) Romines, Brylee Romines, and Brynna Romines; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Caiden, Flynn, Bentley, Adeline, and Lilleigh; his sister, Sissi (David) Romines; his brother, Johnny Romines; his sister-in-law, Tammy Elfawal; his brother-in-law, Mike Gudgel; and his cherished cat, Callie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, B.H. "Butch" Romines and Anna Lee Bell Romines; his son, Tad Michael Romines; in-laws Don and Rita Gudgel; Linda and Terry Moore; and Sam Elfawal.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Honey Acres Ranch (HAR), 4179 Marsh Road, DeLand, Florida 32724. A memorial service will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by fellowship and light hors d'oeuvres.
