Ruth Smith Barfield's Story
1936 - 2025
She is lovingly remembered by her son Craig "Todd", Joy Barfield and daughter-in-law Shari Barfield. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Steve, Teresa Bell, Dana Bell, Trace Thorn, Chance, Jessie Barfield, Kayla Bates, Kristina, Tony Parker, Hope, Floyd Mead, Heather Barfield Marty, and Joshua, Angie Barfield. Ruth was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren;Madison, Landon, Payton, Iceis, Tessa, Kenny, Abigail, Dylan, Cameron, Nicholas, Hunter, Levi, Wyatt, Lillianna Ruth, Leo, Liberty, Aubrey, Maddy, Alex, Lilly, Hailey, Kimmy Joy, Karmen, Charley, Zane, Neriyah, Nathaniel and Sara Grace—and great-great-grandchildren Elias and Briar Tate. She is also fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Charles; her sister Neoma Parrish; brothers Harvey Lee Smith and Sam Smith; children Crystal Thorn; Teddy Thorn; Cathy Bell; Steve Bell; and Charles "Chuck" Barfield; as well as grandchildren Tanner Thorn; Nicki Thorn; and Chuck Richardson.

Her life was a testament to steadfast faith and enduring love. Though she has departed this earthly life to be with the Lord she so faithfully served throughout her days on earth—her spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who knew her.
