Sharon Ann (Cwiklinski) Laffey

Sharon Ann (Cwiklinski) Laffey, age 75, passed away peacefully at her residence in DeLand, Florida, on October 7, 2025.

Sharon was born on July 14, 1950, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late E. Leon Cwiklinski and Helen M. Cwiklinski Doremus. She retired after a dedicated career as a Postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service.

Sharon was an avid reader who especially enjoyed mystery novels. A woman of deep Christian faith, she loved Jesus and found great joy in worship through music, particularly the songs of Christian bands Third Day and Mercy Me.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Michael Edward Laffey III, and their cherished rescue dog, Taylor. She is also survived by her stepson, Michael Laffey IV (Erica); and her grandchildren: Michael Laffey V, Myles Laffey, and Eliana Laffey.

Sharon leaves behind four beloved nephews: Gary Vervynckt, Scott Vervynckt, Matthew Vervynckt, and Jeff Vervynckt, along with many other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her in-laws: Larry Laffey, Patrick Laffey (Karen), Daniel Laffey (Susan), Colleen Welton (Larry), and Kathleen Dixon (Kevin).

She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Palowski.

Sharon will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
