Sharon O’Neal was a devoted wife, beloved mother, and woman of strong faith. She passed away on May 24, 2026, at Parkside Health and Rehab in DeLand, Florida, at the age of 72.
Born on September 17, 1953, in St. Augustine, Florida, Sharon spent her life rooted in the values of faith, family, and service to others. She was married to her loving husband, James O’Neal, for 42 wonderful years. Together, they built and operated a successful trucking company, Sonshine Enterprises.
In her early years, Sharon worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a profession that reflected her compassionate spirit and deep love for caring for those in need. She dedicated many years to serving her local church and community, where she especially enjoyed overseeing the church food bank and helping families in need.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, James O’Neal. Brothers James Smith, Robert Smith and Ronald Smith
She leaves behind her loving children, Michelle Dotro (Denise) and Raymond O’Neal (Alexis); her cherished grandchildren, Logan, Jocelyn, and Adalyn O’Neal, her brother Gary Wells (Caroline) and sisters Cynthia Tullis and Soni Smith (Sheila), her sister in laws Mary Smith and Joyce Smith and her bonus daughter, Faith Bailley.
Sharon will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering faith, generous heart, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
