Thomas Duke Fisher, 84 of DeLand, Florida passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025 at his home with Joan, his wife by his side. He was born on December 31, 1940 in New Eagle, Pennsylvania. Following high school Thomas joined the US Marine Corps, he served for 10 years, part of which was in Vietnam as he honorably served his country. In 1964 while still in the Marines, Thomas met and married Joan, the love of his life, a fellow Marine. In1968, they moved to Central Florida where he worked as a telephone technician, a realtor, and ended his career working for the County of Volusia in the water department.
Tom was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Orange City Florida. He enjoyed watching sports, playing cards with friends, and being at the beach and the local springs with his wife. After they both retired, they loved to travel around the US.
Tom was predeceased by his parents: Eugene “Duke” and Ruth Fisher of Monongahela PA, and older sister Sally Power, Monongahela PA.
He is survived by his spouse Joan Fisher of DeLand FL, three sisters, Susan Manges of Monongahela PA, Janet Fassbach of Finleyville PA, Linda Beattie of Monongahela PA, one Brother, John “JD” Fisher of DeLand FL, and many nieces and nephews.
