Timothy Sean North, beloved son and devoted dad, left us on October 30, 2024. Born on September 11, 1986, Tim was the “late in life blessing” for Robert and Lila North. His departure leaves an unfillable void to those lucky enough to have known him, yet they find comfort in the memories and immense love he had for all.
Tim had an endless mind and could discuss any subject with facts and figures that made a simple chat with him part History Channel and part Comedy Central. His quick-witted sense of humor could shine a light even in the bleakest moments. Tim took great pride in helping others, most often outfitting his nephew, Andrew for each sporting season and enjoying a family dinner at his mom’s.
Tim is a 2005 graduate of Taylor Middle High in Pierson and found great success and pleasure working as a firearm dealer most recently for Academy Sports in Daytona since its grand opening. Tim enjoyed spending time on and off the clock with his numerous supportive co-workers at Academy including his manager Mike Soares and co-workers Troy, Fred, and Isaiah. Tim’s life was enriched with the time spent with his longtime best friend, John Karl, and fishing buddies Pat and Lee.
Tim would agree that his greatest accomplishment was the inquisitive, compassionate young woman that is his daughter, Lexi. She was his partner in travel and mischief and gave him motivation to push through his challenges to live his life to the fullest. Tim said all he gave Lexi was “blue eyes and a temper” but his influence on her life is visible every day in her tenacity and spirit. She was literally the reason Tim pushed himself to be the man he was every day.
Tim was predeceased in death by his dad, Robert, his brothers Robbie and John, and his nephew John Robert.
Tim is survived by his beloved daughter, Alexis, his mother, Lila North, Siblings: Tina (Billy) Godwin, Denise (Scott) Smoak, Chris (Devan) North, and Nina North, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Church of God of Prophecy in Pierson on November 9th at 11 am with a luncheon following. Visitation will be held from 10am – 11am. Allen Summerhill Deland is in charge.
