Obituary
Tonya Estelle Hunter, 42 of Ormond Beach passed away April 18, 2023 at AdventHeath Daytona Beach. She was born in Jacksonville on October 19, 1980 and was a lifetime resident of Volusia County. Tonya was a certified nursing assistant and she loved the beach and being outdoors. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Chester Hunter and maternal grandmother Hazel Rebecca Sylvester. She is survived by her parents Steve Elliot Hunter and Donna Darlene Sylvester Hunter of DeLeon Springs; paternal grandmother Shirley Faye Hunter; maternal grandfather Thomas E. Sylvester; sons Jake Steven-James Osteen of Orange City FL and Stephen Daniel Schnalke, Jr of Ormond Beach, FL; daughter Brooke Rebecca-Jane Lynn of Daytona Beach, FL; sisters Elizabeth Marie Hunter Forsyth of Georgia, Brittany Faye Hunter of DeLeon Springs, FL and half-sister Lakin Lyndsey LaRue of Jacksonville, FL. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at 3pm at the Church of God of Prophecy in DeLeon Springs, with a visitation from 2-3 prior to the service.
